Individual Therapy at CJC

What - One-on-one therapy sessions with master's level therapists and interns, tailored to address the specific emotional, psychological, and developmental needs of your child or family member.

How - Therapy sessions are conducted in a welcoming, child-friendly environment. Our therapists utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques and approaches to foster healing and resilience. Sessions may involve talk therapy, play therapy, art therapy, or other modalities suited to your child's age and needs.

When - Sessions are typically scheduled during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. To accommodate your family's needs, we may offer flexible scheduling, including after-school or early evening appointments. Group Therapy at CJC

Structured, age-appropriate therapy groups facilitated by master's level therapists. These groups provide a supportive community where children and teens can learn, grow, and heal together.

Children's Groups (Ages 3-12)

  • How - Utilizing a 12-week curriculum, children engage in activities like art, song, games, and storytelling, focusing on enhancing body safety, understanding emotions, and learning skills.

  • When - Held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Requires prior registration and a brief intake assessment.

Teen Groups (Ages 13-17)

  • How - Over a 15-week curriculum, teens learn healthy coping skills, promote safety, and process their reactions to trauma in a setting that fosters peer support and understanding.

  • When - Also held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, with the same registration and intake requirements as the Children's Groups.

Parent Group and Spanish Parent Group:

  • How - Parents learn how to effectively support their children through their healing journey while also receiving support for their own trauma reactions.

  • When - Concurrent with the children's and teen groups to provide a comprehensive support system for the entire family.

Adult Healing Group:

  • How - Specifically for women dealing with the effects of their own childhood abuse, this group offers a safe, confidential space for sharing and healing.

  • When - Held every Thursday evening from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

All group therapy sessions require a preliminary intake interview and a brief mental health assessment to ensure the group is a good fit for your needs and to tailor the support accordingly.

To attend any of our groups or for a more flexible intake appointment, please visit us any Tuesday between 4 pm - 5:30 pm or contact our office for alternative arrangements or a virtual option.
