Volunteer
Volunteering at the Children's Justice Center offers a uniuqe opportunity to make a direct and positive impact in the lives of young survivors of abuse, providing vital support and compassion as they journey towards healing and justice.
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Submit to a BCI background check and pay applicable fees
- Consent to a DCFS Central Registry Check and National Sex Offender Registry search
- Commit to at least 6 months of service
- Complete paperwork and orientation training

Schedule
2 hours, weekly, Mon-Fri, 8 AM-6 PM
Role
Support children during interviews/exams; engage in activities; greet families; maintain a child-friendly environment.

Schedule
Tuesday Evenings, 4 PM - 8:30 PM
Role
Conduct interviews; coordinate services between clients and agencies; provide translation for Spanish-speaking clients (if applicable). Requires 40-hour trauma training.
